Vexlum Continues Growth in US Quantum Technologies Market with the appointment of Philip Makotyn as the President of Vexlum US.

Vexlum Oy, the leading manufacturer of VECSELs for quantum research, is thrilled to announce Philip Makotyn joining as the president of Vexlum US. With an extensive background in the quantum industry and academia, and with a strong record of leadership, Philip is poised to drive Vexlum’s continued growth in North America.

Philip has expertise in research, business, and ecosystem development, having held positions in several leading quantum organizations. Philip comes from the University of Colorado where he was the Executive Director of the CUbit Quantum Initiative, leading coordination of the university’s quantum research, workforce development, and ecosystem strategies. He holds a PhD in Physics from JILA (a joint research institute between NIST and the University of Colorado Boulder) and 15 years of experience in the quantum field including Lockheed Martin and Honeywell.
